Loss of a pioneer
Sunday, October 25, 2009
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mr Bill Chadwick, longtime TV hockey analyst and one of the most successful NHL Referee to ever step on the ice.
A pioneer, he was the first to use hand signals [some of which are still in use to this day], when assessing penalties to make everyone know what was being called.
The NHLOA and all its Members would like to offer their most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr Chadwick.
