Zebras Care in New Jersey

On Wednesday, November 25th, Zebras' care welcomed 2 young hockey fans into the official's room before a game between the Ottawa Senators and the New Jersey Devils. NHL Officials Kerry Fraser, Ian Walsh, David Brisebois & Scott Cherrey teamed up with the New Jersey Devils organization, welcomed Damian Davis and William Flournoy from the Boys & Girls Club of Newark.

Damian is 10 years old, William is 9 years old. Both boys participate in the Street Hockey program within the club. When we asked Damian and William what they like to do at the club he told us they go almost everyday and love play street hockey, plus swim in the pool and have fun in the gym.

The boys were extremely excited to be attending their first live NHL hockey game, and were very happy to receive hats & pucks from the NHLOA, plus New Jersey Devils jerseys from the Devils organization.

There is nothing like standing right on the ice for a group picture.

Both boys were very appreciative of all the gifts they received. We had a visit in the official's dressing room, then went to have a look at the Prudential Center from ice level. Damian was more noticeably excited to be at the game but we could also tell that William was just happy to be there as his eyes lit up when we got closer to the ice. We took some photos on the ice which both boys thought was pretty cool.

It was a great pleasure to meet both Damian and William, we hope they had fun at the game and wish them all the best in the future!
