Zebras Care in Minnesota
Tuesday, January 05, 2010
In recognition of Hockey Fights Cancer and with the support of Zebra's Care, NHL officials Mark Pare, Marc Joannette, Francois St. Laurent, and Bryan Pancich had the opportunity to meet four year old Will Pogue along with his grandpa Steve before a Rangers vs. Wild game at the XCel Energy Center on October 30th.

It was an awesome experience to have Will and his grandpa in the room before the game. While he was kind of shy at the start, his true colors eventually shined through! There is no shortage of life and plenty of fire in the hole! Will is a huge hockey fan especially the Wild. He has an older sister who plays and he spends plenty of time practicing his slap shot. Guess that explains why he likes to play golf too! Will was treated to signed officials trading cards, a Minnesota Wild puck, NHLOA Zebra's Care pucks, and Zebra's Care winter hats. Mark also gave will an NHLOA pin which he wore on his Wild sweatshirt during the game. Thanks for being part of the team!

After the gifts were handed out Will wanted to see the ice where pictures were taken. After our trip to the ice it was off to see the Zamboni and how the ice dumped. He loved the Zamboni!

On behalf of the NHLOA, we would like to say thanks to Rachel Schuldt with the Minnesota Wild for making this Zebra's Care visit possible and such a memorable one!
