Zebras Care in Minny

Thursday, January 06, 2011

December 29, 2010 in Minnesota our crew for the night had the pleasure of meeting Jacob Curley [13] with his family and Nathan Jensen [7] with his family. Jacob was first to arrive. He is currently undergoing treatment for Ewing’s Sarcoma [Bone Cancer]. His father has moved the family from South Dakota so Jacob can receive the best care possible. They were looking forward to watching the game between the Wild and Sharks.

Nathan and his family arrived a few moments later. He was decked out in all his favorite Wild apparel. As you can see in the pictures, Nathan is a big Wild fan. Nathan is receiving treatment for a brain tumor.

We spent some time talking about the boys and about Hockey in general. We provided both families with a few goodies and some game pucks. The kids got a kick out of the “real” game pucks. We introduced everyone to the ice surface and the famous Zamboni’s.

We would like to thank both Jacob and Nathan for coming to our room and brightening up our day with their smiles! We wish both of them and their families the best in the New Year!!

We would like to extend a “Thank You” to the Minnesota Wild and Meagan Boyle for making the night possible.
